There is perhaps no better way to see the great outdoors than on a dirt bike. The very agile nature of these incredible machines enable riders to go places that other vehicles simply can’t make because of the terrain.

Most dirt bike tours take place in the Western United States because of the incredible riding conditions, amazing scenery, and ample government land. In order to get the most out of off-road motorcycle tours, there needs to be enough land for riders to connect trails without having to ride on paved highways. This isn’t always easy which is why dual-sport motorcycles have become so popular. Dual-sport motorcycles are basically street-legal dirt bikes that are a little heavier and have items like turn indicators, mirrors, speedometer and a license plate.

Speed & Sport Adventures is an off-road company that uses KTM 350 & 500 EXC-Fs for its tours. “We are more of an off-road tour company than anything else, but we used dual-sport bikes to connect incredible trails quickly,” said Speed & Sport Adventures Managing Partner Ken Faught. “We believe that we would be sacrificing a lot if we just used dirt bikes because we would have to compromise our riding areas. This would limit our activities and decrease the overall fun factor.”

Speed & Sport Adventure's Fleet of KTM 350 & 500 EXC-Fs. The bikes are street-legal and allow the company to use public roads to connect the best trails in the area. It's a very smart advantage they have over others.

Speed & Sport Adventures top-of-the-line tour is called The Legend’s Ride, and it takes place in Park City, Utah. This represents the absolute highest-end of dirt bike riding, and this once-a-year tour is based out of a 27,000 square foot base camp, the largest privately owned log cabin in the United States.
